In Trinidad, during the early 1950’s, James Thomas - a bus driver by trade - transformed his family home into a workshop and began producing a variety of food snacks, and condiments.

Initially, two close friends supported him in his venture, contributing start-up capital and labor. Eventually, those friends took their leave from the business, but James was determined. Steadfastly holding on to his passion to be self-employed, and intent on making his dream a reality, he continued to work, single-handedly.

Focused on the creation of a unique blend, he discovered the formula for an unparalleled product – a versatile essence that can be used to enhance the taste of a number of baked goods and homemade drinks. The blended extract became widely known for its pleasing aroma and exquisite flavor.

Today, the recipe for this product remains a family secret, and it is only now, being introduced to the U.S. market.
